  • 1 lb Ground Beef 90/10 preferred
  • 1 Onion Vidalia preferred
  • 1 Taco Seasoning Recipe above
  • 4 oz Diced Green Chiles drained
  • 1/3 cup Refried Beans

Taco Bake

  • Taco Meat
  • 9 Flour Tortillas 6"
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar divided into 3 equal parts
  • Your Desired Toppings ideas above

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray.
  • Make the taco meat according the the recipe in my post above (or to package directions if you are using a taco seasoning packet).
  • Once the taco meat has been completed, lay 3 tortillas in the bottom of your prepped 9x13 pan, overlapping just enough to cover the bottom of the pan.
  • Spread half of the taco meat overtop of the tortillas and cover with 1/3 of the shredded cheddar. Place 3 more tortillas on top of the taco meat/cheese mixture.
  • Spread the remaining half of the taco meat overtop of the new layer of tortillas. Cover with 1/3 of the shredded cheddar and top with 3 more tortillas. Use the remaining cheese to cover the top of the last layer of tortillas.
  • Place in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese on top has melted and starts to bubble.
  • Remove from the oven, cut into squares, and serve immediately with your desired toppings. Imaged: we used lettuce, tomato, salsa, sour cream and taco sauce. A list of suggested toppings is in the post above.
