We love quick snack, lunch or dinner ideas. These BBQ smoked sausage bites are simple, but they are good! Our kids love these BBQ smoked sausage bites, and they only take about 20 minutes to make. We make these for dinner sometimes, but usually they fall in our lunch category.
You can also place a toothpick in each of these and make them a quick appetizer for parties!

About These BBQ Smoked Sausage Bites
Smoked Sausage
You could use other options for this as well, such as kielbasa or your favorite packaged pre-cooked sausage. We prefer skinless options because our kids aren’t a fan of the thicker outer lining.
BBQ Sauce
As I had stated in the ingredients, this recipe is truly best with Sauce Goddess Brown Sugar Sticky Sweet Sauce. You can use other BBQ sauces, but they just don’t come out the same. Either way, if using a different BBQ sauce I highly suggest something that has a brown sugar or molasses base so it caramelizes while baking.
Pan Prep
You will need to line your baking sheet with tinfoil before baking these. Even if your baking sheet is amazing for non stick purposes, the sugar burning to it (which is inevitable) will very likely ruin your pan. Don’t forget to put tinfoil on!!

Easy BBQ Smoked Sausage Bites
Equipment
- 1 sheet pan
Ingredients
- 14 oz Packaged Smoked Sausage preferred Eckrich skinless smoked sausage
- 1/4 cup Sweet BBQ Sauce preferred Sauce Goddess Brown Sugar Sticky Sweet Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with tinfoil and spray with cooking spray (we use olive oil cooking spray).
- Cut the links/ropes of packaged smoked sausage into about 1" high pieces. There should be about 17-20 pieces from a 14 oz package of Eckrich skinless smoked sauasage.
- Take your BBQ sauce and spread it all over each piece of sausage (make sure to get the bottom too). Once covered, place your bites in the oven for about 15 – 20 minutes, or until the bottoms of the sausage pieces start to brown. They may start to split, and that's okay!
- Remove from oven and serve immediately.
