This 3 ingredient orange creamsicle shake is so creamy and refreshing, and takes 5 minutes to make!

I am one of the biggest fans of orange creamsicle treats! I haven’t been a big “sweets” fan, but there are select things I will compromise on. Orange creamsicle is one of them! I created this fun frozen treat out of things we already had in our freezer and fridge, and the kids loved it! This 3 ingredient orange creamsicle shake will make you want them again and again.

The orange mixed with vanilla flavors, topped with a fizzy addition is sure to please everyone in your family. Use this recipe as a fun treat for the kids, or for a wonderful drink at your next party/event.

About This Orange Creamsicle Shake

Orange Sherbet

For this orange creamsicle shake, we used Great Value Fat Free Orange Sherbet. You should be able to use other brands without an issue, but this is what we had on hand. The important part is that you want all of your ingredients to be cold. The Sherbet cannot sit out and get soft prior to making this shake.

Vanilla Ice Cream

For this orange creamsicle shake, we used Breyer’s Natural Vanilla Ice Cream. Again, you could likely use any vanilla ice cream, but Breyer’s Natural Vanilla is my absolute favorite! The flavor is amazing, but not nearly as sweet as some other vanilla ice creams. The ice cream itself is also very smooth and creamy compared to others.

Sprite

Your sprite must be cold (refrigerated). If your sprite is room temperature, this will end up more like a float, or will melt much too quickly.

Ratio

You will need a 2:1 ratio of orange sherbet to vanilla ice cream. This means you will use half as much vanilla ice cream, as you do orange sherbet. It’s hard to give measurements when everyone has completely different cup sizes, so I went by a ratio instead. If you use 4 scoops of sherbet, you need 2 scoops of vanilla. If you use 2 scoops of sherbet, you need 1 scoop of vanilla.

If you would like to make this into an “adult” drink, you can add some vodka, white rum, or gin in place of some of the sprite!

Ingredients

  • 2 scoops Orange Sherbet Great Value Fat Free Orange Sherbet
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream Breyer's Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sprite measurement is approximate, must be refrigerated

Instructions

  • Measurements of this recipe are approximates. These will vary based on your cup size and scoop size.
  • Loosely scoop orange sherbet into your cup until it's about 3/4 of the way full.
  • Add half as much vanilla ice cream, loosely, to your cup as you used of the orange sherbet. If you used 2 scoops of sherbet, add 1 scoop of vanilla. If you used 4 scoops of sherbet, use 2 scoops of vanilla, etc.
  • Once your cup is loosely filled to the top with orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream, pour refrigerated sprite over the top until the cup is full. Make sure to pour this slowly, as it will start to foam.
  • Once your cup is full, gently stir to combine all ingredients. This will form a thick shake consistency. If it's too thin, add additional sherbet and vanilla. I recommend stirring this with a straw, as it helps to leave the carbonation in tact.
